Community Development Task Force Mandate

Source of Authority: 1.) The Community Development Task Force will be

directly responsible to the general membership of

the co-op.

2.) The Task Force takes it’s authority from a

motion approved at a November 15 / 2000

general membership meeting approving the

formation of an ad hoc working group. The

working group will become responsible for

coordinating a community development process

to make recommendations to address and resolve

problematic issues identified in a social audit.

Composition: Task Force members will be composed of the

following;

1.) Six core group members selected from the

general membership by way of nomination-less

election.

2.) One delegate from each co-op committee.

3.) One youth representative.

4.) Representation from parties who may be

underrepresented from the above outlined

selection process.

Decision Making: The Task Force will make all decisions by way of

consensus.

Duration: It is anticipated that the Task Force will meet on the

average of once every three weeks through to the end

of December, 2001.
